1 – Made me more adventurous
(or at least it has brought our more of the adventurer in me)
.
2 – Started to enjoy cooking more
(eating out can be expensive so you have to get creative)
.
3 – More comfortable with nakedness
(Never ever imagined myself showering with strangers)
.
4 – Enjoy meat more
(The quality of meat is quite good here – especially lamb)
.
5 – Enjoy the snow more
(I never used to like when it snowed in England – because it was light and would be gone the next day, but it Iceland its heavy and brightens up everything)
.
6 – More ambitious
(I feel like the more setbacks I get the higher I want to aim.)
.
7 – Feel more entitled to a better quality of life
.
8 – Helped me overcome different fears.
(As reserved as people can be, some aspects of the culture are very free. And I feel I have a new found freedom- which has helped me really get to know myself and what I want.)
.
9 – Enjoy pools more.
(Used to go to the pool to actually swim and now I just got o soak and relax.)
.
10 – Given me a place to call home!
(With the people I have met and gotten close to I feel at home. My 3rd Home.)
.
If you’ve moved abroad, how has it influenced/changed you? Can you relate to any of these points?
I would love to know. Feel free to leave me a comment!
Until the next post.

Hi Tabitha,
I’ve just watched your YouTube video on this topic. I loved it. Kinda made me realise I’ve been a bit complacent in terms of chasing goals and ambitions. I can do relate to finding a place to call home. That’s what I’m like about Norway. I miss it so much.
Hope you’re well.
